제 14회 NDA 국제 무용 페스티벌에 오신 것을 환영합니다.

매년 NDA를 진행할 수 있어서 NDA와 함께하는 모든분들께 큰 감사를 느낍니다.

14년동안 아시아의 다양한 현대무용을 알려왔다고 자부합니다.

올 해는 수성문화재단과 수성아트피아에서 후원으로 축제의 명맥을 이어가고 있습니다.

앞으로는 유럽 및 북미의 다양한 현대무용 작품들도 NDA에서 소개할 계획이며 축제 커넥션들도 조금씩 확장할 계획입니다. 그런의미에서 올해는 유럽 및 북미의 현대무용가들의 작품들이 많이 소개될 예정이며 이 것이 확장의 초석이 될거라 생각합니다.

NDA를 응원해주시고 격려해주시는 분들과 모든 스테프들에게 감사의 마음을 전합니다.

Welcome to the 14th Edition New Dance for Asia International Festival.

I feel very grateful to everyone who participates in NDA2025.

I am proud to have been introducing various contemporary dances in Asia for 14 years.

In the future, we plan to introduce various contemporary dance works from Europe and North America at NDA, and gradually expand festival connections.

This year, the festival is continuing its legacy with support from the Suseong Cultural Foundation and Suseong Artpia.

In that sense, this year, many works by contemporary dancers from Europe and North America and South America will be introduced, and I believe this will be a cornerstone of expansion.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the staff and those who support and encourage NDA.

Please enjoy the 14th NDA International Dance Festival and look forward to the future NDA.

무더위가 기승을 부리는 8월 어김없이 NDA국제무용페스티벌은 14회째 진행을 하게 되었습니다. 수성문화재단과 수성아트피아의 후원이 많은 힘이 되었습니다.

올해도 무사히 축제를 진행 할 수 있음에 큰 감사함을 느낍니다.

올해 국내팀 참가자들은 쇼케이스를 통해 선정되었는데요. 쇼케이스를 위해 많은팀들이 대구까지 방문하여 열정넘치는 퍼포먼스를 보여주셨고 너무나 좋은 공연을 보았습니다. 아쉽게 선정이 되지 못한 팀들도 있지만 작품들을 감상할 수 있어서 영광이었습니다.

공모에 참가해주신 모든팀들께 깊은 감사를 느끼며 당신들이 있기에 NDA가 있다는 것을 잊지 마시길 바라며 끈임없는 도전과 활동을 기대하고 응원합니다.

이 더위에 NDA를 위해 대한민국 대구를 방문해주신 국내외 디렉터 및 아티스트 여러분들 감사하고 환영합니다.

보이지 않는 곳에서 14년째 NDA를 빛이 날 수 있게 해주신 수성문화재단과 수성아트피아 그리고 김상엽 무대감독님, 김민수 조명감독님외 크루님들 표현할 수 없을만큼 소중하고 감사합니다.

올해도 NDA를 찾아주신 관객분들께 감사드리고 즐겨주시길 바랍니다.

In August, when the heat is rampant, the New Dance Asia International Festival will be held for the 14th Edition. The support from the Suseong Culture Foundation and Suseong Artpia was a great help.

I feel very grateful that we were able to hold the festival safely this year.

This year’s domestic team participants were selected through a showcase. Many teams visited Daegu for the showcase and showed passionate performances, which were great performances. Unfortunately, there were some teams that were not selected, but it was an honor to be able to enjoy their works.

We are deeply grateful to all the teams who participated in the contest. Please do not forget that the NDA exists because of you. We look forward to and support your continued challenges and activities.

We thank and welcome all domestic and foreign directors and artists who visited Daegu, Korea in this heat for NDA.

I am so precious and grateful beyond words to stage director Kim Sang-yeop, lighting director Kim Min-soo, and the crew who have made NDA shine for 14 years in unseen places.

Thank you to the audience who came to NDA this year and I hope you enjoy it.

NDA 국제 무용 페스티벌은 14년이라는 역사 동안 두 가지 중요한 역할을 해왔습니다.

첫째, 아시아 전역의 젊은 예술가들을 연결하는 허브 역할을 해왔습니다.

둘째, 아시아와 전 세계를 연결하는 다리 역할을 해왔습니다.

NDA는 전 세계의 뛰어난 현대무용 작품들을 선보왔습니다. 유호식 예술감독이 오랜 세월 쌓아온 폭넓은 국제적 네트워크를 통해 엄선한 새로운 무용 작품들이라고 할 수있습니다.

그리고 이 작품들이 단순히 '뛰어난 작품' 에 그치지 않습니다. 젊은 예술가들에게 경험이 되어 현재 세계 현대무용 트렌드와 예술 형태의 미래 방향을 제시하기도 합니다.

축제 본거지를 서울에서 대구로 이전한 이후 NDA의 프로그램은 더욱 강화되었습니다. 대구는 특히 무용을 비롯한 예술 분야에 대한 아낌없는 지원을 하고 있다고 생각합니다..

NDA 국제 무용 페스티벌의 지속적인 성장을 앞으로도 기대합니다.

Throughout its long history, NDA has played two major roles.

Firstly, it has served as a hub connecting young artists from across Asia.

The second is as a bridge connecting Asia and the rest of the world.

The NDA presents outstanding dance pieces from around the world. These are cutting-edge dance pieces, selected by Artistic Director YU HOSIK from his extensive international network, built up over many years.

However, these are not simply 'outstanding works'. They also serve as guidelines for young artists, showing them current global dance trends and future directions for the art form.

Since moving to Daegu, one of Korea's most famous cities, the NDA's programme has grown stronger. Daegu is renowned for its generous support of the arts, particularly dance.

We look forward to the NDA's continued growth as it overcomes the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic.
